This strawberry mango smoothie was inspired by my son and is also known as “pink slammer.” Why do we call it this you ask? Good question, but the answer is simple really…the smoothie is pink and we slam it down super quick!
My son can be finicky when it comes to flavor combinations in smoothies. I’m so glad he gulps this one down because it’s loaded with immune-boosting benefits. We get our greens in any way we can…smoothies are perfect for that.
Strawberries Are High in Vitamin C
Yes – strawberries are higher in vitamin C than oranges. A diet rich in vitamin C will help keep your immune system in tip-top shape.
Strawberries are also low in sugar and high in fiber making them a great smoothie addition.
Mangos
Mangos add a sweet flavor, are high in vitamin A, and fiber. My kids devour frozen mangos in the summer and I’m a happy momma because they keep us hydrated in the heat. When you add some mangos to your smoothie, you instantly feel like you should be on a beach somewhere!
Marry the strawberries, mangos, with a banana, and Clean Genes Smoothie Power Greens…you get a mega blast of nutrients. This smoothie will give you more than half a day’s recommended value of calcium and vitamin D. It also has potassium, magnesium, vitamins A, K, and E.
The pink slammer is a combination of strawberries, mangos, and banana. They blend perfectly with almond milk, and this recipe is a winner that will have you making it over and over again.
